I was speaking to an old friend the other day who's band i hadn't checked in a while.
It would seem they're doing rather well. Fresh off the back of supporting Interpol at this weeks london shows, Anna Calvi is set to release a sterling lp in early 2011. Trained as an uber guitar workout specialist she is being shown some series love from Nick Cave and Brian Eno, two of my favourite recording artists. When the compliments start churning in from names like that, you know you must be doing something right.
